A large nonprofit public interest legal services organization serving individuals and families in the Bronx is seeking a Temporary Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support the team on a long-term interim basis.

- Provide front-desk and reception support, including answering phones, routing calls, delivering messages, greeting visitors, and serving as a point of contact for clients, families, vendors, and staff.
- Maintain and manage case-related information by creating and updating case files, entering and retrieving data from databases, and accessing court records to support attorneys and legal staff.
- Prepare, process, and distribute documents through copying, scanning, faxing, collating, batching, mailing, and other administrative support functions.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients by assisting with case-related inquiries, providing information and support to clients and their families, and performing additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of professional work experience, with strong computer proficiency and administrative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work in office, courtroom, and community-based settings, with familiarity navigating NYC public transportation.
