Paralegal

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This is a remote role. This position focuses on supporting litigation processes, with an emphasis on civil cases and trial preparation. Candidates with experience in social impact or reproductive rights law are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive litigation support, including trial preparation and discovery management.

• Conduct docket checks and manage electronic filing systems to ensure the timely submission of documents.

• Perform cite checking and site verification using tools like the Bluebook.

• Utilize case management software to organize and track case progress and deadlines.

• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedural standards.

• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, depositions, and court appearances.

• Research legislative and constitutional law issues to support case strategies.

• Maintain and update calendars and docket systems to track important deadlines.

• Communicate with clients and external parties to gather necessary information for cases.

• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and firm policies throughout case handling.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Proficiency in case management software and electronic docketing systems.
• Familiarity with cite checking tools such as the Bluebook.
• Background in legislative or constitutional law is a plus.
• Experience in social impact or reproductive rights law is highly desirable.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
