- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data to assess credit risk
- Evaluate customer or borrower creditworthiness and recommend approval, denial, or credit limits
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports and risk assessments
- Monitor existing accounts for changes in financial condition or payment behavior
- Review and establish appropriate credit limits and terms
- Partner with sales, underwriting, and finance teams to support business decisions
- Conduct industry and market research to evaluate external risk factors
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist in managing portfolio risk and minimizing bad debt exposure
- Support audits and maintain accurate documentation of credit decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques and tools
- Experience with financial systems or ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis)
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., banking, energy, manufacturing, or SaaS)
- Familiarity with credit scoring models and risk rating systems
