Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and addressing guest needs in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner upon arrival and departure
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services and local information
- Manage room reservations, changes, and cancellations through the property management system
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues
- Handle guest complaints or concerns calmly and escalate issues when necessary
- Process payments, maintain accurate records, and handle cash or credit transactions
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems (PMS experience a plus)
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs if needed
