Team Leader – Land Development Design

Are you a Maryland-licensed Professional Engineer with a passion for client service, project leadership, and land development?
Soltesz is seeking a Team Leader – Land Development Design to join our growing Waldorf office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects, mentor engineering staff, build client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of our Southern Maryland operations.
What You'll Do
✅ Manage civil engineering and land development projects
✅ Build and maintain strong client relationships
✅ Lead project schedules, budgets, profitability, and invoicing
✅ Prepare proposals and support business development efforts
✅ Represent clients during public meetings, presentations, and hearings
✅ Mentor and develop engineers and designers
✅ Oversee project quality and resource planning
✅ Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve firm goals
What We're Looking For
✔ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
✔ Maryland PE license
✔ 10-12 years of land development design experience
✔ 5 years managing civil/site design projects
✔ 5 years supervising technical staff
✔ Strong client relationship and communication skills
✔ Southern Maryland experience preferred
