Soltesz is seeking a motivated and talented Site / Civil Engineer II to join our Waldorf, Maryland office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to work on a diverse portfolio of land development projects throughout Southern Maryland and the Washington metropolitan region while collaborating with experienced engineers, planners, surveyors, and landscape architects.

What You'll Do
As a Site / Civil Engineer II, you will contribute to the planning, design, permitting, and construction support of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public-sector development projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare site and civil engineering design documents and construction plans
- Develop site grading, roadway, storm drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and water and sewer infrastructure designs
- Create project graphics, exhibits, and technical drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, memorandums, and project documentation
- Support multiple concurrent projects while meeting schedules and project budgets
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor and assist junior design staff as experience grows
- Contribute to successful project delivery from concept through construction
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in site/civil engineering and land development design
- Experience with land development projects in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Experience in Charles County, Prince George's County, St. Mary's County, or Montgomery County is preferred
- Maryland PE license is preferred but not required
Preferred Technical Experience
Candidates with experience using the following software will stand out:
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Microsoft Office Suite
- MS Project
- TR-55, TR-20
- HEC-RAS
- XP-SWM
- Hydroflow
- KY-Pipe
- WaterCAD
Experience with these programs is beneficial but not required.
