We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our weekend healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care across multiple settings such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, or home health environments, utilizing advanced nursing skills.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization care when necessary.
- Utilize electronic health records to document patient information meticulously while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies and coordinate case management efforts for complex cases.
- Assist in triage processes for urgent or emergent situations, ensuring prompt assessment and intervention aligned with trauma or emergency medicine protocols.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper specimen collection, processing, and sterile technique adherence during procedures like phlebotomy or laboratory testing.
Experience
- Proven experience working in long term care settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Background in long-term care facilities or assisted living environments with familiarity in geriatrics, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health practices.
- Knowledge of coding systems including ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and compliance.
