We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 3rd Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team on a weekend package schedule. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during overnight shifts, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, maintaining detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist with patient transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety for both patients and staff.
- Support patients with specialized needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the facility.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care aligned with medical orders and care plans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical records and documentation.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for accurate data entry and communication across interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and patient transfer methods.
- Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring hospice or memory care services.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and safe manual handling procedures including the use of Hoyer lifts.
- Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
