Assisted Living PCA

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a senior living environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living and long-term care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while fostering a respectful and nurturing environment.

Schedule

• Schedule would consist of every weekend (Saturdays/Sundays) 6am-2:30pm (16hrs/week).

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following proper protocols.
• Support residents experiencing dementia or cognitive disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas by performing light housekeeping duties in accordance with health standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate senior care.
• Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents and team members.
