Position Overview
The Direct Support Aide provides hands-on assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals, maintain independence, and actively participate in their communities.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required
- Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with proper grammar and vocabulary
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of Criminal Record History Clearance and FBI background checks
- Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening
- Willingness and ability to attend and successfully complete all required training programs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, recreational activities, and achievement of individual goals and outcomes
- Assist with maintaining compliance with community home licensing requirements and operational regulations
- Collaborate with the Assistant Program Coordinator to ensure services are delivered according to each individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP)
- Promote and maintain the safety, well-being, dignity, and independence of all individuals residing in the home
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and community engagement
