Accounting Manager
Our manufacturing client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in the greater Spartanburg, SC area. This is an on-site opportunity; local candidates only.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all organizational accounting functions, including reconciliations, accounts payable, month-end close, and financial reporting. Manufacturing industry experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity for exposure and professional growth.
Responsibilities
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
- Performing financial information compilation and analysis for the preparation of journal entries
- Preparing budgets, cost updates, income projections, variance analysis, and management reports
- Creating and submitting funding requests
- Processing capital and C&A project costs
- Identifying control issues and developing and implementing resolution procedures
- Managing accounts payable and payroll functions
- Overseeing physical inventory functions
Skills & Competencies
The ideal Accounting Manager will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing plant environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- ERP systems experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Details
Salary: Up to $115,000 bonus
