Role Description The Chief Legal Officer (CLO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL, responsible for leading all legal aspects of Solomon’s Palace and Chateaus’ development and ongoing operations. This role oversees legal strategy, manages risk, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to hospitality, real estate, corporate governance, and labor and employment. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; providing legal guidance to executive leadership; coordinating with outside counsel; and supporting regulatory filings, licensing, and permitting. The CLO will develop and implement policies and procedures to uphold ethical standards, protect organizational assets, and support sound business decisions. This role also collaborates closely with finance, development, operations, and investor relations to support transactions, corporate structure, and long-term growth.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, including the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and statutes.
- Experience managing a broad range of Legal Issues and providing practical, business-oriented Legal Advice.
- Proven expertise in Corporate Governance, including board support, policy development, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, with experience guiding workplace policies, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction; eligibility to practice or supervise practice in Florida is preferred.
- Progressive leadership experience in a senior legal role, ideally within hospitality, real estate development, or complex project environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk management and strategic decision support.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
