About the Role
We’re seeking a Facilities Audit Technician to join our team supporting facility and infrastructure audits across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a background in telecom, electrical, mechanical, or general facilities maintenance and a keen eye for detail.
In this role, you’ll work as part of a two-person crew traveling to different facilities within your assigned territory. Your main responsibility will be to inspect, document, and inventory facility equipment and infrastructure components to help the client understand their current capacity and plan for future builds and installations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site facility audits and take inventory of all major systems and components
- Identify and document equipment such as racks, panels, patch panels, ladder racks, and HVAC units
- Record and track equipment data accurately in spreadsheets and inventory management tools
- Work collaboratively with your teammate to ensure thorough, consistent data collection
- Communicate findings and provide updates to project managers and customers
- Maintain professionalism and safety while working in active facilities environments
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in telecom, facilities maintenance, electrical, or mechanical work
- Ability to identify and understand various facility and data infrastructure components
- Basic to intermediate computer and spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable with regional travel (company-provided vehicle or mileage reimbursement)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate large facilities as needed
Preferred
- Previous experience with site surveys, facility audits, or asset inventory
- Familiarity with data center or telecom infrastructure
- OSHA or safety training certifications
