Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures and make necessary repairs.

2. Facility Operations:

• Respond promptly to service requests and work orders.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility's infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Equipment Management:

• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in working condition.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

4. Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure the facility is up to code with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Address potential hazards, report incidents, and implement corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
• Assist in budget management by tracking maintenance costs and supplies.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial, or facilities setting.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications (Preferred):

• OSHA Safety Certification

Work Environment:

• Requires physical activity, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various conditions (hot, cold, confined spaces).
• May require on-call availability and occasional weekend or evening shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
