What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at SOLID Personnel?
About the Role:
We are currently looking for Electricians who will be responsible for performing electrical installation for lighting and power/receptacles in the service area. Working within a small team, the electricians will use standard electrical hand tools to ensure all wiring, conduit runs/bends and lighting systems are installed safely and according to blueprint specifications.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Install 53 LED high bay fixtures, including mounting hardware, whips, branch wiring, and final connections.
- Provide branch circuits and connections for equipment, including:
- 6 vehicle lifts, 208–230V, single phase, 20A circuits
- 1 alignment rack, 208–230V, single phase, 30A circuit
- 1 7.5HP compressor, 460V, three phase, with local disconnect
- 6 DC reels, post-mounted, 120V, 20A circuits
- 120V receptacles for aligner and tank equipment
- Rough-in for roll-up door power
- Install approximately 25 new duplex receptacles around the service area
- Install conduit, conductors, boxes, fittings, terminations, and related branch wiring as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of in commercial electrical work
- Proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits and using the NEC Code Book
- Experience handling electrical systems from low to high voltage up to 480 VAC; medium voltage experience is a plus
- Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics
- Capability to test and commission work according to company procedures and building department codes
- Strong knowledge of job site safety, with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning, focusing on electrical hazards and safety procedures
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily
- Valid driver’s license, Picture ID, or Passport
- Full PPE including hard hat, safety vest, Safety Toe Work Boot, gloves, and safety glasses
- Trade specific tools required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
