Schedule/Hours
- Shifts: Nights, 6:30pm–7:00am
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required
- Every third holiday
Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in a similar progressive care unit
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
- Must provide valid driver’s license at submission for mileage verification (must be 50 miles from facility)
- Must not be employed in any capacity by facilities affiliated with CommonSpirit
- Must adhere to policy: No artificial nails in patient care areas
- Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90%
Key Responsibilities
- Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses, as well as those undergoing continuous EEG monitoring
- Titrate and monitor drips (including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications)
- Float to Medical, ICU, or Rehabilitation units as needed
- Exhibit clear communication, strong critical thinking, adaptability, and positivity on a fast-paced unit
- Supervise and collaborate with nurse aides/patient care technicians
