A locum opportunity is available now! Soliant is now hiring Radiation Therapist applicants for a facility/cancer center in the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This position is a day shift available for 13 weeks, with a requirement to work 40 hours per week. Extension requests are highly probable for this travel position. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions for this position.

Shift/Qualification Requirements
- Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours/wk. Shift 5x8's schedule. Start time varies from 7:45am- 8:00am. M-F no weekends or holidays.
- Travel Assignment.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks!
- Required Certificates: ARRT, BLS required (AHA).
- Active NM License/Certification. NM License is preferred in hand upon submission.
- 1 Years of experience required.
- Must have experience with Varian and Aria equipment.

Responsibilities
- Perform external beam radiation therapy procedures, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), ensuring precise delivery aligned with treatment plans.
- Operate advanced linear accelerators and CT simulation equipment to develop accurate radiation treatment plans tailored to individual patient anatomy and physiology.
- Conduct comprehensive imaging studies using CT and other medical imaging modalities to assist in accurate tumor localization and treatment planning.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, documenting all procedures, patient interactions, and treatment details with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Implement radiation safety procedures rigorously to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure, adhering to all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists to optimize treatment protocols and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and radiation physics to support complex treatment processes and patient education.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Radiation Therapist with demonstrated experience in radiation oncology settings.
- Proven expertise in CT imaging, medical software applications, and radiation treatment planning systems.
- Critical care experience or acute care background preferred, with the ability to handle complex cases confidently.
- Hands-on experience operating medical equipment such as linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other radiotherapy devices.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Knowledge of external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction; ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
