Schedule: 7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week with schedule varying by need)

Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacist by preparing physician medication orders, including unit dosed oral, topical, reconstituted, and IV medications
- Prepare intravenous, epidural, or intrathecal solutions using sterile techniques following pharmacy sterile compounding SOPs
- Refer completed drug orders to pharmacist for final check before dispensing
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe pharmacy environment, adhering to infection control policies
- Pre-pack medications as unit dose items and remove outdated stock from inventory
- Perform daily stocking of pharmacy shelves and automated dispensing machines
- Deliver medications to appropriate hospital floors or authorized personnel
- Maintain crash cart trays and emergency medication boxes
- Assist nursing staff with Pyxis troubleshooting when needed
- Maintain proper documentation such as refrigerator temperature logs and narcotic pulls
- Comply with patient confidentiality standards and use PPE when handling hazardous materials
- Participate in competency assessments and complete special projects as assigned
- Valid Hawaii Board of Pharmacy registration as a certified Pharmacy Technician
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience in hospital, community, or medical institution settings
- Knowledge of pharmacy sterile compounding procedures and regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
