Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday scheduled
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current RN license, eligible to practice in Iowa
- Previous experience in an Operating Room (OR) or perioperative setting strongly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, effective nursing care throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status before, during, and after surgery
- Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies
- Mentor and support colleagues and new staff, sharing best practices and fostering teamwork
