An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Operating Room care to support a focused surgical team in Canonsburg, PA. This travel position offers a dynamic schedule with rotating daylight shifts and weekend on-call responsibilities within a compact and dedicated team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Orthopedic OR setting
- Collaborate closely with a small team of three RNs and three surgical technologists to cover two ORs, handling elective and add-on cases
- Adhere to a rotating schedule with shifts starting at 5:30 AM, 6:30 AM, and 7:30 AM, finishing once cases are completed (occasionally extending by 1 to 2 hours)
- Participate in weekend on-call coverage from 6 AM to 6 PM, approximately two weekends every six weeks; weekend call is strictly for coverage and not a high-volume shift
- Maintain flexibility to adjust to add-on cases requiring extended shift hours occasionally
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with Operating Room experience
- Skilled in managing orthopedic surgical cases
- Ability to work effectively within a small, cohesive surgical team
- Comfortable with a variable daylight shift rotation and weekend on-call responsibility
