Schedule/Hours
- 10-hour shifts (9.5 working hours 30 min unpaid lunch)
- Variable days: 0630-1630 or 0700-1700
- On-call: Minimum of 7 days per four-week schedule, including at least 5 weeknights and 1 weekend
- 13-week assignment
- Registered Nurse, licensed in New York State
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s degree or higher)
- 2 years of experience in CVOR nursing
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell technologies
- Flexibility to float when census is low
- Experience with adult patient populations and diagnoses such as CAD, AS, and MR
- Deliver high-level perioperative care in a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Monitor and assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and positive surgical outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
- Respond to emergent situations and fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned
