Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and administer treatments such as Amiodarone and Cardizem drips.
- Manage patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, renal issues, hemodialysis, and related conditions.
- Coordinate care with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and adhere to professional standards and organizational policies.
- Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed.
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible or licensed in Missouri.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiac telemetry experience.
- Certified in BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
- Experience with telemetry reading, central lines, and cardiac medication drips.
- Knowledge of Tikosyn, Sotalol initiation, and advanced drip management preferred.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, team player with strong assessment skills.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.
- 36 or 48 hours per week guaranteed (must specify).
- Weekend work every other weekend.
- No call requirements.
- 13-week contract assignment.
