Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patients with conditions such as CHF, arrhythmias, chest pain, and those on hemodialysis.
- Administer and manage complex drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem) and work with central lines including HD catheters, ports, and PICCs.
- Collaborate with ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional and facility standards.
- Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiac telemetry experience.
- Proficient in reading telemetry and managing cardiac medications and protocols.
- Experience with CIWA protocols and critical care supportive tasks preferred.
- Night shift: 19000730, 36 or 48 hours per week (flexible).
- 13-week contract.
- Weekend shifts as required, approximately every other weekend.
- Orientation week during the day shift; availability required.
- Flu vaccination (or approved exemption) required from November 1 to April 1.
- Exposure to a fast-paced, high acuity telemetry unit.
- Collaboration in a team environment with access to advanced nursing technology including EPIC EMR and telemetry monitoring systems.
