- Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and patient status.
- Manage TR Bands following cardiac procedures, ensuring proper care and documentation.
- Administer cardiac drips such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem, alongside initiating Tikosyn and Sotalol treatments.
- Float across all acute care units as needed to support patient care demands.
- Participate in weekend rotations every other week and holiday shifts based on unit needs, including Memorial Day and July 4th.
- Complete an 8-hour non-billable orientation covering institutional protocols, EPIC EMR training, and specific director-led sessions.
- Current Kansas RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience, with preference for 2-5 years in telemetry units.
- Experience handling TR Bands and cardiac drip administration is essential.
- Familiarity with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation processes.
- Strong adaptability to float across acute care settings.
- 12-hour night shifts, 1900 to 0730, three days per week.
- The role is a contract position starting on either April 13 or April 27.
- The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
- This facility maintains a nicotine-free environment.
- Orientation involves multi-day training to ensure a smooth transition.
- Bi-weekly pay periods with shift cancellation protocols are in place to maintain scheduling clarity.
