Key Qualifications
- Hold a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing the instruction of Deaf & Hard of Hearing students, OR an Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience teaching or providing support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
- Ability to work onsite; remote or hybrid models are not available for this position
- Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective student support
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and families regarding best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Participate in professional development and school-based meetings
