Speech Language Pathologist in Scranton, PA

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood education as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a spring semester assignment. You’ll help shape communication milestones for preschool-age students through evaluations and collaborate closely with other educational professionals. This is an onsite, full-time position beginning March 1, 2026, and continuing through June 5, 2026, with a commitment of 35 hours each week. Your expertise will be pivotal as you assess approximately 130 young learners ages 4 to 5.

Desired Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience working in school-based or early childhood settings strongly preferred
• Familiarity with conducting and documenting speech/language evaluations
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech/language evaluations for preschool-aged children
• Develop clear, actionable assessment reports in line with best practices
• Engage with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to share evaluation findings
• Support referral processes, eligibility determinations, and recommendations for interventions/services
• Maintain timely and accurate records consistent with school and state requirements
