Adjunct faculty may instruct one or more courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. A particular need in SLP is for the medically based speech pathology courses (e.g., tracheostomized and ventilator dependency and head and neck cancer) provided in a synchronous distance education environment.
Essential Duties
Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades.
Additional Skills Required
Certifications in a field relevant to the course, if applicable.
Minimum Education Requirements
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Preferred Education
Preference will be given to Ph.D. or Ed.D. candidates
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with previous college-level teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling. For SLP courses, candidates with previous college-level distance learning teaching experience preferred.
