Position Overview
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
- Onsite role serving PreK–12 students (assignment based on district needs)
- CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
- Full school year contract with potential for renewal
- Average caseload: 40–60 students (varies by school site)
- Diverse student population across general and special education
- Areas of service include:
- Articulation & phonological disorders
- Receptive/expressive language delays
- Social/pragmatic communication needs
- Fluency and voice disorders
- Higher likelihood of exposure to:
- Autism spectrum disorders
- AAC/assistive communication devices
- Multilingual/English learner populations
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state guidelines
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for the Connecticut Initial Educator Certificate (Speech-Language Pathologist) through the Connecticut State Department of Education
- Completion of supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP
- Licensure through the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure
