A school-based opportunity in West Hartford, CT, is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification to provide essential speech services to PreK-2 students. This contract role supports a .4 SLP maternity leave, with the option to cover two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) or adjust service hours through an SLPA to optimize the current SLPs workload.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification or SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to provide speech therapy services to young children (PreK-2)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within educational teams
Location: West Hartford, Connecticut single school location with mileage reimbursement
Schedule and Commitment:
- Full-time SLPA position or part-time SLP to cover two days weekly (Mon/Wed)
- Approximately 35 hours per week for SLPA role
- Contract period starting ASAP through June 15, 2026
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing direct speech therapy sessions to PreK through 2nd-grade students
