Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An elementary level teaching opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Severe Sensory Needs (SSN) within an Individualized Learning Classroom (ILC). This full-time, end-of-school-year contract position is located in the Denver, CO area and focuses on serving students with intellectual disabilities and severe needs.Key Responsibilities:Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities in a SSN/Severe classroom setting.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team delivering push-in and pull-out services.Utilize TEACH strategies and structured lesson plans to enhance student learning.Engage in progress monitoring and training goals in alignment with district guidelines.Work closely with paraeducator support to facilitate classroom activities.Maintain compliance with district instruction and documentation requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.Experience working specifically with severe or sensory support needs (SSN) classrooms is strongly preferred.Familiarity with Individualized Learning Classroom environments and severe special needs caseloads.Strong communication and teamwork skills to actively contribute to a collaborative educational approach.Ability to implement structured teaching strategies effectively to support student success.Location:Denver, ColoradoThis role offers the chance to support students with significant challenges in an engaging and supportive educational environment while working alongside dedicated professionals.
