- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to foster inclusive classroom environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
- Provide direct instruction and personalized support to students with diverse disabilities.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding development and challenges.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization.
- Experience working with students who have moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and school personnel.
