Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Trenton, NJ, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract position lasting through the end of the current school year. This role involves working with a self-contained classroom serving students in grades K through 2, specifically those on the autism spectrum.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 8 students and collaborating closely with two assigned paraprofessionals to deliver tailored instruction in a supportive environment. The teacher will implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and employ strategies that foster the developmental and academic growth of young learners with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Active Standard or Teacher of the Handicapped licensure in New Jersey
• Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) populations preferred
• Ability to manage a self-contained classroom effectively
• Strong collaboration skills to work alongside paraprofessionals
