Special Ed Teacher - Mesquite, Texas

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide meaningful support and instruction to students with special needs in an inclusive classroom environment. Based in Mesquite, TX, this contract position allows you to make a positive impact on approximately 15-20 behavior students integrated primarily in general education settings, supported by one paraprofessional.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction and behavior supports to students within the general education curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide social skills instruction to select students as needed
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Special Education License (EC-12)
• Proven experience working with students in Special Education settings
• Ability to manage a classroom of behavior students while fostering academic and social development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with educators and support staff

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
