Sign Language Interpreter in Lenexa, KS

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student during an Extended School Year (ESY) program in Lenexa, KS. This role involves providing 1:1 interpretation services for a senior student proficient in American Sign Language (ASL), ensuring clear and professional communication of instructional content.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivering accurate and effective ASL interpretation to facilitate student learning.
• Collaborating closely with educators to support classroom instruction.
• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times during interactions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Registration with the Kansas Commission on Deaf/Hard of Hearing is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of sign language interpretation experience is preferred.
• Strong command of ASL and ability to adapt to the students communication style.
  
  

Contract Details

• Duration: June 8th through June 18th.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday during the first week, and Monday through Thursday the second week.
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.
• Location: Lenexa, Kansas, serving a high school student.
