Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this school year as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-8 students in a general education setting. This role begins immediately and extends through the end of the school year, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive Hamden-area school environment.

Work two to three days per week—with flexible scheduling options up to three days—and contribute your expertise to help students thrive academically and socially. Collaborate with caring educators and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans, all while honing your professional skills.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but open to strong CFY candidates
  • Previous experience in a K-8 school or pediatric setting is ideal
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for working with diverse learners and contributing to a positive school culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in general education K-8 classrooms
  • Conduct speech/language assessments, develop IEPs, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation per school and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in developing language and communication-rich classroom environments
  • Adapt therapy techniques to address a variety of communication needs
