This contract opportunity seeks a skilled Social Worker to support a day therapeutic program in a school setting located in Woodstock, IL. This role involves working with three classes, including two elementary Emotional Disabilities (ED) classes and one elementary autism class, providing essential social work services to support student well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services tailored to students in a day therapeutic program.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individual support plans.
- Address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges within the classroom setting.
- Conduct student assessments and offer interventions focused on positive outcomes.
- Document case notes and maintain compliance with school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Social Worker in school environments or similar settings.
- Knowledge of Emotional Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support children effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant licensure or certification as a Social Worker.
Position Details:
- Location: Woodstock, IL
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
- Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026, with potential renewal for the next school year
- Caseload: Approximately three classes within the day therapeutic program
