Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license (please submit with your application)
- Previous experience in school nursing is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for student health, chronic condition management, and acute care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in dynamic school settings
- Only registered nurses will be considered; LPNs are not eligible for this position
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily healthcare to middle school students, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management
- Monitor and respond to student health emergencies and collaborate with staff for appropriate action
- Maintain detailed student health records and uphold confidentiality standards
- Educate students and staff on wellness initiatives, hygiene, and illness prevention
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on health plans and interventions when needed
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and district protocols
