Qualifications

• Current Michigan School Psychologist certification is required
• Proven experience as a School Psychologist, preferably working with K–12 populations
• Strong background in conducting formal psychological, academic, and behavioral assessments
• In-depth knowledge of educational laws and special education practices
• Adaptability and organizational skills for managing an itinerant schedule
• Exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with staff, families, and outside agencies

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and evaluations for students in K–12 to determine eligibility for special education services
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Consult on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports tailored to each student’s needs
• Assist with crisis intervention when required
• Document findings, recommendations, and progress in compliance with district and state requirements
• Provide professional guidance and workshops to staff when needed
