What You'll Bring
- Master’s degree (M.A., M.S., or M.Ed.) in School Psychology or related field
- School Psychologist certification (or eligibility if licensure in progress)
- At least three years of broad experience supporting students at every grade level
- Strong skills in diagnostics, evaluation, and student counseling
- Conduct timely psychological evaluations and craft thorough reports for students referred by school staff or parents
- Hold meetings with families to discuss evaluation outcomes and next steps
- Observe students in classroom settings to help inform functional action plans
- Complete a variety of student assessments, including those for early childhood
- Serve as a resource for teachers and staff, helping translate evaluations into practical strategies for student learning
- Actively participate as a member of committees (e.g., CSE, CPSE, Section 504)
- Review psychoeducational records from external institutions
- Provide individual and small-group counseling on a short-term basis
- Respond to student crises and consult with school counselors during emergencies
- Refer students and families to appropriate community resources as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and foster positive relationships across your network
- Take on additional tasks as designated by the Director of Special Education
