Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Connecticut
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage time effectively and balance a caseload of varying needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students' functional abilities and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to support students’ success in academic and daily activities
- Document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Offer consultative services to teachers and parents to promote carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Adjust therapy plans as needed based on student growth and changing needs
This is a full-time, 36 hours per week contract role based in a supportive educational environment, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal.
