A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a contract role starting ASAP through June 9, 2026. This opportunity involves working onsite, splitting time between two elementary schools with sites to be determined within the Meriden, CT area.
Key details include:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 35 hours per week
- Role involves supporting students within inclusion settings, covering a range of disability categories without specialized classrooms
- Two openings available
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Connecticut license for SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF)
- School-based experience is mandatory
- Candidates must undergo district fingerprinting and background checks
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) applicants will not be considered
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to elementary students in inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication related to student progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
