A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist within an elementary school setting in the Meriden, CT area. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 9, 2026, offering a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Responsibilities will be based onsite and include working across two elementary schools with a diverse range of inclusion students representing various disability categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students within inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school policies
- Adapt therapy techniques to address a variety of communication disorders
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCCs required; candidates in Clinical Fellowship status are encouraged to apply)
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Connecticut
- School-based experience is essential
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background check
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants will be accepted for this role
- Upfront licensure verification will be required
