School Occupational Therapist - Loves Park, Illinois

An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support elementary-aged students in a resource and self-contained school setting. This part-time contract position involves providing essential therapeutic services that enable students to fully engage in classroom activities and develop key skills.

Location: Loves Park, Illinois

Position Type: Part-time (22.5 hours/week), Contract, Comprehensive School Year (CSY)

Duration: ASAP through May 28, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care capabilities
• Adapt tasks and classroom environments to meet individual student needs
• Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments as needed
• Prepare detailed, clear reports based on student evaluations and ongoing observations
• Create and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations tailored to student needs
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support student development
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as an OT or COTA
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within a collaborative educational setting
