Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting - Loves Park, IL

This full-time occupational therapy position offers an opportunity to support elementary and some secondary-aged students in an educational setting. The role focuses on helping students develop essential skills that enable participation in classroom activities and adapting tasks or environments to meet individual needs. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state OT license. Consideration may be given to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA).

Location: Loves Park, IL

Position Type: Contract, School Year (CSY)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care
• Modify tasks or the school environment to support diverse student needs
• Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments as required
• Produce detailed reports from student observations and testing
• Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations
• Collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Must possess or qualify for an Illinois state occupational therapy license
