School Behavior Specialist in Cicero, IL

An opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support elementary students in a school setting located in Cicero, Illinois. This contract position runs through the 2025/2026 school year, starting as soon as possible and ending June 12, 2026. The role involves working closely with Behavior Specialists to implement behavioral interventions and support individualized education plans.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Caseload: 1.1 elementary students

Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
• Experience supporting children with behavioral needs in educational settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with Behavior Specialists and educators
• Ability to implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity and track progress accurately
• Detail-oriented and patient approach to working with students
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist Behavior Specialists in delivering one-on-one and group behavioral intervention services
• Monitor and document student progress using data collection methods
• Support positive student behaviors and facilitate skill development
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student goals and adjust intervention strategies as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district and professional standards
