School Psychologist in Cicero, IL

A temporary opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to cover a maternity leave at a middle school in Cicero, IL. This contract position runs from mid-March through June 5th and offers flexible scheduling options, ideal for professionals seeking consistency in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IEP and 504 evaluations for students in grades 6 and 8, supporting a caseload of approximately 360 students
• Collaborate with school staff to develop problem-solving strategies for student support
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized educational plans
• Provide ongoing assessment and consultation services to staff and families as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid School Psychologist credentials and experience working with middle school populations
• Proficient in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment results
• Strong understanding of special education law, IEP and 504 processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
  
  

Work Schedule

• Hours scheduled from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, Monday through Friday
• Flexibility available to work 2-3 days per week if needed, with preference for consistent availability
  
  

This position offers the chance to make meaningful contributions to student success during a short-term assignment. Interviews are scheduled at 1:00 PM on the 23rd and 2:00 PM on the 24th for qualified candidates.
