Responsibilities Include
- Managing dispensing of high-cost specialty medications
- Navigating drug approval processes and facilitating insurance authorizations
- Assisting patients and providers with payment options, grants, rebates, and other financial aid programs
- Maintaining high-touch communication with healthcare providers and patients
- Utilizing McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy workflows
- Ensuring compliance with all regulations and documentation standards
- Proven experience specifically within a designated specialty pharmacy; retail experience dispensing specialty drugs alone is insufficient
- Familiarity with rare and orphan drug therapies and related disease states
- Strong clinical knowledge combined with exceptional communication skills
- Active, clear, and good-standing Arizona pharmacist license
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours
- Availability for an ASAP start with a 13-week contract leading potentially to direct hire
- Jamaica, New York, with the assignment site in the Bronx
