Responsibilities
- Dispense and manage rare and orphan specialty pharmacy medications
- Facilitate high-level communication between healthcare providers and patients
- Assist with insurance approvals, grants, rebates, and other patient payment programs
- Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy operations
- Provide clinical support and expertise to ensure optimal medication use and adherence
- Active pharmacist license in Arizona, in good standing
- Demonstrated experience working exclusively in a designated specialty pharmacy setting (retail pharmacists without specialty experience in this area will not be considered)
- Ideal candidates have experience in specialty retail and/or specialty mail order pharmacy
- Proven ability to handle complex case management related to rare disease medications
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
