Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescriptions while handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification
- Perform data entry and maintain prescription documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and internal teams
- Manage inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring
- Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures
- Support cross-functional pharmacy tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and other regulations
- High school diploma or GED required; verification of education level during screening
- PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience with strong retail background (hospital experience not desired)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and making phone calls
- Excellent multitasking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare providers
