Registered Nurse School Setting - Plainfield, NJ

This opportunity is for a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse in an elementary school setting located in Plainfield, NJ. The position runs from ASAP through June 2026, with work scheduled for Wednesdays only from 8:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. This role is ideal for a nurse with school health experience who is proficient in Genesis charting and committed to supporting student health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to elementary-aged students during school hours
• Implement and document health assessments, treatments, and interventions using the Genesis charting system
• Manage chronic conditions and respond to emergencies according to school policies
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers as needed
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment through education and advocacy
  
  

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Proven experience as a school nurse, preferably in an elementary school setting
• Proficiency with the Genesis electronic health record/charting system
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
